Midnight Curiosity [Open]

Ever since his talk with Minki, Ko-Ki was more and more curious about the human world. He didn't know much about it, only that interesting things came from it. And what better place to hide away from his father's grasp. He knew if he stayed in the city for too long, he would be caught, and then punished for running away. That he really didn't want. So now he was searching the north part of the city for the owner to either of the prestigious night clubs. He figured if anyone knew how to leave this world it might be them. Hopefully it wouldn't turn out to be a trap.

He had taken the night off, too exhausted from a week straight of work and filling out forms to handle it. Rain had decided to spend some time at a tiny little playground, sitting in a swing and just staring up at the night sky. It was, at least to him, a very beautiful sight. He wouldn't have noticed if someone were to come up behind him, or even sat in the swing next to him, as he was so focused on what he was doing.

Ko-Ki had had no luck with finding anyone he wanted to talk to. Now he was just wandering around, about ready to give up for the night. He came across the little park, and saw the man sitting there. He stood there for a moment, thinking that he looked rather sexy with the moonlight shining down on him. Eventually he walked himself over to the man, straightening his neck bow. "Excuse me, could I ask you something?" He said, trying to be polite since the man looked much older than himself. It wouldn't be good to piss this guy off if he had the information he was looking for.

He blinked, the sound of a voice pulling him out of his thoughts. JiHoon looked over, spotting the person who had spoke. Black and bright pink hair, how odd. Or at least unusual. Pink was a rare color for someone's hair. "...I guess that depends. What do you need to know about?" he said, offering a slight smile. The kid had been polite enough, so he answered in turn.

"I'm curious about something called the 'human world'," he stated plainly. Might as well get to the point. No need for introductions or anything if all he's looking for is some information. And now that he got closer, he could tell the man was of a higher class, so there was a chance that he knew something. Rich people were supposed to be smarter, right? That's what his father always seemed to think anyway, even if the master vampire was a complete idiot in Ko-Ki's opinion.

JiHoon frowned a bit, sighing. "...so you want to go visit the humans, huh..." he mumbled, shaking his head. "...hm...why do you want to know?" Sure, he knew how and when he could pass from this world to that of the humans, but he certainly wasn't about to tell just anyone such information.

"Yeah, basically," the little vampire nodded. What he had planned wasn't exactly a 'visit', but either way he had to get there. "I'm curious what it's like there, no one ever let me know anything," a pout spread on his lips as he looked over to the man in front of him. He hoped he looked pitiful enough to get the guy to agree to what he wanted.

He tilted his head a little, smiling. "...what it's like? It's actually quite dull, to be honest, but I've been there a lot. There's nothing special...no dragons, no succubi, no vampires, nothing like that. Well...there are a few, but few and far between. They're the ones that decided to leave our little Wonderland, so to speak," he said, wondering if his answer would be enough.

Ko-Ki pouted more, looking down now. "It's really boring?" he asked, his voice a bit small. He didn't like the idea of the place he could hide being boring. But even if they didn't have magic, they seemed to have many other interesting things, like the dogs and video games that he'd seen so far. "But...if it's boring, why have you gone there so much?" his big black eyes looked to the man sitting in front of him.

"Well, sometimes, yes. It is. But it can also be very interesting, I think...it depends on where you are and what you're looking to do," he answered, tilting his head. "...why do I go so much? Because the people here find just about everything from the human world interesting. So I bring things back when I can and sell them."

"So you're the person who does that?" Ko-Ki perked up a little. He was happy he finally found someone useful. "Would you be able to show me how to get there? I really want to leave this place. I don't think I care if the human world is boring," he was talking a bit fast, but he didn't care. All he wanted was to know how to get to the other world.

"Yes I am," he answered softly. JiHoon smiled at the kid's words, and at how desperate he seemed in wanting to leave Wonderland. "I could. But it's difficult, complicated work to figure it out. There's a passage through the mountains that shows up once a year, if you know where to find it. Another in the river, but it's very random. Two in the Ocean, a third if you count the island."

The little vampire pouted. "But which one do I use...?" he looked down trying to think of all the places mentioned and how he would get to them. He would worry about what to do in the other world when he got there.

"Whichever is safest, really," he answered. Some of the passages were quite dangerous, mostly either in getting to and from them on both sides. He remembered one that he had gone through had been at the top of a waterfall, and had forced him to shift forms while falling quite a dangerous distance.

"But, you could tell me which one to take couldn't you?" he kept pouting. Why wouldn't this guy just let him know how to get there? "Please, I really want to go there..."

"I suppose I could...but how do I know that you aren't going there to start trouble or anything?" he asked, tilting his head a little. It wasn't information he could just give out on a whim - the person had to be trustworthy. Otherwise it could cause a lot of problems for the humans.

"...It's not my fault if I cause problems..." Ko-Ki pouted, swaying on his feet a little. Sure he had a mischievous nature, but it was only for fun. When he was at home he had nothing else to do. He grew up fast, so he was forced to learn quickly, and act mature. The little vampire didn't like it, so he acted the way he wanted, or his 'age' so to speak.

"How would it not be your fault if you were the one causing problems?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the boy. It wasn't a possibility to blame such things on other people in the human world; someone would catch you, if not at that moment, then it would be later down the line.

"Because! Stupid people always want to 'teach' me things I don't want to know..." the little vampire pouted. He hated when he came across people in the city who did things like that to him, and would act out to get rid of them. They were good for getting what he wanted, but once they wanted something back, he either ran, or fought the best he could. Which usually resulted in feeding from them when they were vulnerable to get away.

He frowned, a dark look in his eyes. "...have they hurt you, little vampire?" JiHoon asked, his tone mismatching his expression. One of the things near the top of his list of things he hated was when people tried to take advantage of someone the way the boy had mentioned. It irked him; a pet peeve, if you will.

The look the man was giving him, made him feel a little uncomfortable, especially since his tone was very different from it. "Uh, well, sometimes..." he shifted where he stood a little, playing with the frill on his hip-guard. "I was able to get away from them though, if that counts," he didn't want to seem completely weak like he probably did, and knew he was.

"...too bad for them..." he mumbled, sighing and pulling off the necklace from around his neck. "This," he said, tossing it to the pink-haired vampire, "is my mark. I am not trying to insult you by giving it to you, so please, do not think of it as that. It will ensure that you will be safe when you have to go out. I ask that you wear it, little vampire." The pendent was of an 'eastern' dragon, twisted into an infinity symbol around two black pearls. "Keep it with you for a while." JiHoon glanced up, frowning at the moon. "...I will put together copies of everything I have on the human world and how to get there."

Ko-Ki caught the pendant, and turned it over in his hands. It was really pretty, and he definitely liked shiny things. "Why are you giving it to me though? I can take care of myself," he pouted a little, but didn't throw it back. When the other man frowned, he took a few steps closer. "What is with that face? Are you sad about giving me what I want?" he tilted his head. It wasn't new for someone to hate the idea of spoiling him with what he wanted.

He looked back at the vampire boy, smiling ever-so-slightly. "I'm giving it to you to make sure you stay alive and unharmed until you can get out of here, that's why," he answered, blinking as he came closer. "Hm...? No, not at all..." He wasn't, truth be told. He liked helping people out when he could. JiHoon was only wondering how well the kid would do in the human world.

"You really are going to help me then?" Ko-Ki could have hopped up and down. He really had no idea what to expect in the human world, but he wanted to try it anyway. The vampire wasn't sure if his father was still looking for him, but he didn't want to take the chance. Since he couldn't really defend himself against the master vampire and any punishment for running away from home, running farther seemed like the best option.
